Rain At OCFS; Storms On The Road

WANTAGE, NJ - Rain on Saturday that forced the cancellation of racing at Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway's program didn't dull the racing plans of big-block rookie Michael Storms.

While the Vinnie Salerno No. 4 sat silent all weekend, Storms headed to Virginia Motor Speedway last Thursday night for the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Paul Sawyer Memorial $10,000-to-win event. Qualifying through a consolation, Storms finished the 60-lap main in 21st spot.

On Sunday afternoon, it was off to Rolling Wheels (N.Y.) Raceway Park for the DIRT Challenge Cup Twin 50s. 'Kid Lightning' gained valuable lap time on the five-eighths-mile oval, registering finishes of 20th and 17th, respectively.

Racing continues on Saturday at OCFS.
